Killer Whale Birth
The birth of a killer whale is fascinating. A young killer whale is usually born tail first. A young killer whale feeds on its mother's rich milk under water. Very few killer whales were observed giving birth in the wild. Many people believe that male killer whales leave their family pods to find female killer whales to mate with.
When a female killer whale is pregnant, she returns to her pod to give birth to baby killer whale, one at a time. After birth, the baby killer whale is watched after by its mother killer whale. Male killer whales after mating with female killer whales may not return to see their offsprings. Father killer whales do not help raise baby killer whales.
At birth, the baby killer whale comes out of the its mother's womb to the cold sea. The baby killer whale says near its mother at all times. The baby killer whale feeds on its mother's rich milk. Mother killer whales will not leave their baby calves behind.
